Happy Easter! There was a lot of napping in this house today. :) Can't remember the last time Wyatt fell asleep in someone's lap, but he was so beat by naptime that he didn't even make it through his book. Neither did Josh.
We did, however, get the carpet laid in the nursery and the door frame is up. Unfortunately, the previous owners had a love affair with honey coloured oak, so everything (cupboards, doors, trim, etc) is that colour. They don't make anything in that colour anymore (and for good reason), so the oak door that we bought isn't the right shade. It won't match the trim, but I'm not sure if I care. Oh, who am I kidding? Of course I care. The trim isn't even up yet and it's bothering me. :P
Maybe the reason there's honey coloured oak for EVERYthing is because when they were reno-ing, it was being cleared out, haha. At least this gives you a good reason to slooooooowly start switching the trim and everything over to a decent shade, as things come on sale.

Nah, it's because they reno'ed in the 90s and apparently that was acceptable back then. We've decided to change the doors to white doors for now (goes okay with the current oak trim). And by "we", I mean "I". And I made that decision at 12:03 this morning. Then I slept quite well. :P
