After supper, we went out for a nice long walk. One of Wyatt's gifts was a set of pneumatic tires for his wagon, so we took it out for a spin with Paige in the stroller. We went through an area under an oak tree with a TON of acorns, and I realized Wyatt had never seen one. He picked up a handful and clutched onto them the whole way home.
Tomorrow we're hoping to go to the zoo, we went earlier this year with his cousins, but it was a little much (okay, a lot much) with three toddlers and we didn't get to see very much because they were walking and got tired quite quickly.
Monday will be a day to recouperate (hopefully!) and to give me some time to realize that my baby boy is suddenly three.
Thanks for the photo Kaeleigh!
I'm glad the flash didn't ruin it TOO bad; my "editing" on it seemed to help :) If I'd've had an slr on this shot it would've made me so happy, I loved how Wyatt's face was lit up by the candle! I'm sure you'll get some good ones from today.
ReplyDeleteI never regularly realize that little ones are brand new to the world, even at three years. And discovering acorns is so much fun, they're SO COOL! Did you show him how there's a nut inside? But...they don't taste very good, just FYI ;)
We did show him the nut inside the acorn, and he immediately tried cracking one open too. :) Thankfully he did not attempt to eat them.
