7.10.11

Wyatt and his new growth chart. He's not actually trying to pose, he was in the middle of telling me, "All DONE." I get about 2 tries these days to get the shot, otherwise he starts rolling his eyes and trying to run off. Since when did he become a teenager?

Finally! We have REAL smiles. Poor little stinker slept all day today though, I think she got a bit of the cold that Wyatt had. He was only sick for about 2 days, and it didn't affect his sleep, so hopefully she'll follow suit. I think the chiropractor visits have been helping though, she does seem more settled as of late, and makes a lot of cooing sounds - just seems happier. Josh and I have always believed that the temperment of a baby had a lot to do with the temperment of the parents - if you're stressed out and anxious, your kid is going to feel it and react accordingly. If you relax and roll with the punches, your kid might be a little more chill. Obviously this is not always the case, but we're both wondering if that's why Paige was seeming so tense - because we both are. Between the lack of sleep, adjusting to 2 kids, Wyatt's ridiculous tantrums ("NO! I need to pee in the bath!"), Josh's fire department testing and issues at work...it's been a stressful 2 months and maybe she's feeling it. So our resolution is to start drinking*. Josh is a happy drunk and I fall asleep after 3 - I can't see any flaws in this logic. I plan to start tomorrow at 9am.

*Disclaimer: Not a real resolution. Save your CFS calls for the parents of the kid who whipped his junk out at the playground and peed all over the playstructure. Seriously kid? You suck.

  1. Maybe alcohol is just the lubricant that keeps things flowing smoothly, hahaha. I love the disclaimer, but to be fair, that kid's just marking his territory. Clearly he likes the play structure and wants to make sure everyone knows it's his. What better way than to pee on it? Ugh.
Love that picture of Paige :) And I like how you can look at the growth chart one and even though he's trying to get out of it, it's still a good picture. Ha HA! I feel like that's the best revenge on a toddler/teenager.

  2. OK, Wyatt is taller than AK. She's 3 feet tall, and Wyatt is clearly taller than that.

Love the photo of Paige - she's adorable xo
