How is it that he is ready for school already? Yes, it is just preschool...but still!
Wyatt was very excited about preschool until Thursday night. When I tucked him in, he told me he was afraid. I told him that was okay, and then we talked about all the good things we knew would happen at preschool.
Friday morning he was still very nervous. He asked if he could just stay home. I told him to just try this morning, and he agreed. We went in, hung up his backpack and got his new shoes on. He told me again, he was afraid, but it was okay. :)
We went into the room, he found the cars and said goodbye.
I worried about him for 2 1/2 long hours. Were any of the other kids talking to him? Would he be okay with "song time" or would the singing scare him? Should I have told his teacher about SPD? Why didn't I remember a bottle of water for him? Would he be brave enough to ask to go to the bathroom if he needed to go?
When I picked him up at 11:30 he told me, "I had fun. Can I go again when it's Friday next week?"
