1.9.12

Ernie apparently has been feeling the pinch lately, he and Wyatt hit me up for "monies" this morning to put into Wyatt's piggy bank. He used the "big money" (nickels) to buy me some "makeup" (a red peg from one of his wooden toys). How thoughtful! He also bought a monster truck, a crane and a jet, so I guess I need to get to work building some sort of hangar.

1.8.12

Wyatt asked me to take a picture of his "sad" face. I'd argue that this is more serious than sad, but there's no sense in arguing with a 3 year old. Especially one that is convinced that Saturn is the "cheese" planet (????).

1.7.12

I suppose part of the crawling experience is getting stuck everywhere. We had a little end table by the couch where I keep my laptop (as you can see), and Paige loves to crawl over there and try to gnaw on the cords. I had to take Wyatt to the bathroom, so I moved the footstool over so that she wouldn't head right for the cords in the 2 seconds she'd be out of sight. Evidently, it did not work so well.

1.6.12

I thought maybe I should sneak a picture of Wyatt in here every now and then. :P He doesn't ignore me if I try to get a picture of him doing something (painting, playing with his cars, terrorizing his sister), he always wants to "CHEESE" it up.

1.4.12

Somebody sure looks happy for being so stinkin' sick! I think it is a fairly short lived cold, she was feverish with a cough and congestion yesterday and this morning, but already by this evening her cough seemed to have lessened. Now I have the fever, which is not a ton of fun. But, I also have Mini Fudgesicles, so that is some consolation. :)

1.1.12

2012 didn't have the best start for us. I woke up to the sound of water rushing through our basement. The water line that runs to our fridge had split, and water was pouring from the ceiling all over the basement. It looked like probably about 2-3 inches of standing water in spots, and yet Josh still wanted to clean it up on his own initially. I called a cleaning company in town that does 24 hour emergency water extraction, and he was in and out before 10am.
In the meantime, we sent Wyatt to Josh's grandparents. Hanging with his favorite great grandparents = no nap. No nap almost always = cranky, rude, short tempered Wyatt. Within 5 minutes of coming home he was trying to bend Paige's fingers back. Between 5-6pm, he spent most of it in time outs because of hitting (the dog, Paige and Josh). After we started supper, he got another time out for trying to hit me with his fork (I'll avoid using the word "stab" here, because I don't think he didn it on purpose, but it was more of a stab than a hit). Then he sat there, alone, until bathtime, because he refused to eat. That kid is so stubborn. Surprisingly though, after his bath he didn't complain one bit and went right to bed. Just tired, I guess, but I was growing weary of our pint sized dictator.
