Wyatt is 7!!

On September 4th, Wyatt turned seven! Hard to believe he's that old already. It's been a fun, challenging and interesting 7 years.
Wyatt is developing a sharp sense of humour, he's a great reader and is doing really well with his spelling. He says recess is his favorite part of school, but will reluctantly admit that he likes math. He loves Lego, Playmobil and his new scooter. He has a quick temper but is also quick to offer a hug. He's wickedly far sighted and can't stand to be without his glasses. He wants to be a police officer, firefighter and construction worker when he grows up.
Wyatt had a birthday party at the beginning of September with a few friends from school. I wasn't quite able to put in my usual effort, thanks to the sudden onset of hypertension (and the related pressure headaches and dizziness) and a stomach ulcer the same week. However, 7 year olds are not a discerning bunch and they all still enjoyed themselves. Using some silicone ice cube molds from the Lego store, Josh made Lego gummies and I made chocolate minifigures for the cupcakes. The Lego head marshmallow pops were a last minute decision but the biggest hit with the boys. I made a template for the Lego head banner in Word, and just drew the faces on with Sharpie.

  1. I still love how all this turned out!! It looks amazing - I love watching these birthday parties come together.
I can't believe Wyatt is already so old either...it's so easy to remember that little squidgy baby! If he's down for math, I am SO keen to teach him. Another data nerd in the family!
